One of the situations in which a motorcycle’s behavior changes the most is when we are riding as a passenger or carrying a passenger.<\/strong> Both the driver and the passenger should know how to act during the trip so that the motorcycle behaves more nimbly.<\/p> \n \n

Tips for riding as a passenger on a motorcycle<\/h2> \n \n

As a passenger, the first thing we should do is know how to get on and off the motorcycle<\/a><\/strong>, as well as know the points we can hold on to. We don’t want you to fall!<\/p> \n \n

The most recommended way is to rest one of our feet on the side footrest and hoist ourselves onto the seat, leaning on the driver.<\/strong><\/p> \n \n

Once we are in the seat, we can grab onto the side handles that motorcycles usually have<\/strong>, holding them tightly. During the journey, it is VERY IMPORTANT to accompany the movement of the motorcycle and the rider<\/strong>, avoiding making the opposite movement. <\/p> \n \n

Some people may feel a certain sense of danger in leaning towards the road, but we assure you that it is much more dangerous not to accompany the motorcycle and the rider, as you will unbalance the motorcycle and may lead you not to trace the curves correctly.<\/strong> Also, don’t overdo it, don’t make movements beyond those of the rider, as you could cause a fall.<\/strong><\/p> \n \n

Also, try not to lean on the driver to prevent their posture from being more forced and tiring them out more.<\/strong><\/p> \n \n

As drivers, we can also make our passenger’s journey more comfortable and safer. On the one hand, it is important that we perform braking progressively and managing our brakes so that the rear brake brakes before the front brake.<\/strong> This will prevent the motorcycle from tilting forward and our passenger from falling on us. <\/p> \n \n

When making gear changes, remember to do it smoothly<\/strong>, without jerks, so your travel companion will feel more comfortable and safe during the journey.<\/p> \n \n
